A lifetime of coaching has led to this moment; Launching KLo Edge

Some people stumble into their calling. I grew up living mine.

At 14 years old, I was coaching gymnastics. I wasn’t just spotting back handsprings or correcting form; I was helping young athletes see their own potential. I learned early that coaching wasn’t just about skills; it was about confidence, discipline, and the belief that with the right energy and guidance, you can do more than you thought possible.

That mindset followed me everywhere.

As life got busier, I traded balance beams for soccer fields and flag football sidelines. While raising my kids, I coached their teams, not because I had extra time (what working mom does?), but because I couldn’t not coach. I wanted to see their faces light up when they mastered something new. I wanted to help them work together toward a common goal. While all of that was happening, I was also coaching in another arena: the sales world.

Coaching in Business Isn’t Much Different Than Coaching in Sports

Over the years, I’ve led sales teams, built playbooks, and guided companies through growth and transformation.

Whether the “players” were account executives or ten-year-olds learning how to dribble, the principles stayed the same:

  • Start with the fundamentals: if the basics aren't strong, nothing else with stick.
  • Adapt your strategy: no game plan survives unchanged once the whistle blows.
  • Motivate different personalities: one pep talk doesn't work for everyone.
  • Celebrate small wins: they are the fuel for the bigger victories.
These lessons are as true in the boardroom as they are on the field.
